OUR PASTOR
Marcellus E. Lanfair, MA, M Div, Th.D.


Dr. Marcellus E. Lanfair is a devoted family man and servant of God who loves ministering to the people of God. Pastor Lanfair was baptized in Jesus name and received the Holy Spirit in 1985 at the Apostolic Church of God (ACOG) in Chicago, Illinois; where the late Bishop Arthur M. Brazier was the Pastor. In 1990 he received the call to the ministry at ACOG, and in 1991 became a member of the ministerial alliance directed by Bishop Brazier.

 

Dr. Lanfair was ordained under the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. During the same year he also felt the call to help start a new ministry; Victory Apostolic Church which is located in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. It was founded by Andrew D. Singleton, Jr., Senior pastor. In 1997 pastor Lanfair was elevated as the first assistant pastor at Victory Apostolic Church. Pastor Lanfair served as the Director of the Ministerial Alliance and the congregational group until 2009.

It was 2008 when Dr. Lanfair reluctantly, but obediently responded to the call to the pastorate.  Dr. Lanfair retired January 2009 with 32 years of service from the BP Oil Company, then leaving Victory Apostolic Church with their full support. Pastor Lanfair and his wife Stephanie moved to Savannah, Georgia in July 2009 and there he founded the church, “Anchored in Christ Ministries Inc, (AICM).”

 

Dr. Lanfair holds both a B.A. Degree in Communication Studies, and a M.A. Degree in Communications and Training from Governor State University. He also Holds both a Masters of Divinity Degree with honors, and Doctorate of Theology, Summa Cum Laude from Andersonville Theological Seminary.  Dr. Lanfair retired as a fulltime faculty member from Savannah Technical college.
